2 days after the Perseids Meteor Shower in 2021, there was an unexpected “outburst” sending sometimes dozens of meteors per minute arcing through the sky.
This photograph is a composite that took over four hours to capture and post-processing to align all the meteors to come from the constellation Perseus within the Milky Way in the Northern night sky. Framed over the famous Yellow Mounds of South Dakota’s Badlands National Park, this event is one you’ll enjoy losing yourself within for years to come.
